At a time when the Romanians are waiting for the austerity measures that the new government will impose to lower the budget deficit, tomorrow we publish a file that shows how the state uses the money.

The Romanian government spends a day more than a third than it receives. At the level of one year and at the size of the state apparatus, the minus is about 30 billion euros per year, in 2024. In other words: we receive 115 billion euros per year and we spend 150 billion euros, from a 350 billion GDP.

Of these 30 billion euros, about 6 billion should be compensated by the measures of the new government in the next 6 months. It is foreseen both the increase of the receipts and the decrease of the expenses. And here we get to Leaks, the leak of information that came to the newsroom.

The journalists came into possession of detailed information related to the public amounts spent. This is an institution of the state, at the ministry level. The list itself is an example for how to prioritize payments, how the value of people and professions is appreciated.

This information will be published tomorrow at the first hour.
