According to the same source, the Romsilva CA was also called Speranța Georgeta Ionescu (supported by the UDMR), former economic director in the Ministry of Environment in Laszlo Borbely's mandate. She escaped a criminal file of corruption in 2021 after the court eliminated the evidence obtained by DNA with SRI.

Ministra Buzoianu later wrote on the social networks that she is not satisfied with the result of the contest for Romsilva and that “the law is made today to be a notary as minister, and the contest because the Romsilva has not achieved the purpose of attracting the most professional people for all positions.

The Minister of the Environment has changed the Board of Directors of Romsilva on the grounds of poor management of the state.

In the same decision signed on Wednesday, Minister Diana Buzoianu named members in CA Romsilva and Ion Chisaliță (former PNL mayor in the city of Moldova Nouă) and Dan Achim, former director of the Forest Guard – according to the information on the official page of the Regia.

The file of Corneliu Mugurel Cozmanciuc had a connection with the Romanian waters

DNA prosecutors claimed that, between 4 and 27 November 2019, the deputy Corneliu Mugurel Cozmanciuc would have claimed the sum of 500,000 lei, leaving to believe that he will intervene next to Costel Alexe, the Minister of the Environment of that period, so that the latter to appoint in the position of general director of the National Administration ” Ciufudean.

The businessman had contracts with Romanian waters and was interested in having a man close to the management of this public institution. In January 2023, Mugurel Cozmanciuc, at that time the president of PNL Neamt, was definitively acquitted by the High Court of Cassation and Justice for committing the crime of influence trafficking.

The director was accused of receiving bribes the sum of 61,394 lei, representing part of the value of an Audi A3 car, as well as a Louis Vuitton bag worth 6,300 lei. In exchange for the money, the director helped the businessman Mircea Marcu to earn a tender regarding the regularization of the Agigea and Lazu valleys from Constanța county and allocated the money needed for the investment.

In March 2021, the Bucharest Court of Appeal paid, with a majority opinion, Georgeta Speranţa Ionescu. One of the judges wanted to sentence her to 3 years in prison with suspension.
