All of Ukraine, under alert: “Missile threat!”. The Russians sent a MiG-31K fighter jet armed with Kinjal ballistic missiles

The Ukrainian authorities issued a national missile attack alert on Friday morning after the detection of the takeoff of a Russian MiG-31K aircraft carrying the Kinjal ballistic missile, reports the Kyiv Post.
Air raid sirens were activated in all regions of the country, and the population was urged to take shelter.
The Ukrainian Air Force has issued this national alert regarding the threat of an imminent missile attack, after detecting the rise of the Russian MiG-31K aircraft.
“All of Ukraine – missile threat! The takeoff of a MiG-31K was detected,” the Air Force said in a statement.
Regional military administrations have activated air raid alerts throughout the country, and the Ukrainian digital air alert map indicates warnings in all regions, News.ro notes.
The MiG-31K is the main launch platform for the Russian Kh-47M2 Kinjal (“Dagger”) ballistic missile.
Local authorities urged people across the country to take shelter immediately or move away from windows and exterior walls.
