“The crop is harvested – but the season is not finished yet. August is the perfect time to use the beds again. The earth is still warm, the days are long, and the moisture after rains helps to germinate quickly with seeds. Some cultures will have time to give a full -fledged second harvest by the fall,” the publication noted.
The gardeners advised to plant such cultures in the vacant areas:
- dill;
- parsley;
- spinach;
- arugula;
- sorrel;
- onion per pen;
- mustard;
- radish;
- daikon;
- beets.
To harvest, it is important to provide plants with watering and top dressing.
“Repeated crops are not only economical, but also reasonable. The second harvest is quite real – you just need to give the earth a chance to feed you again,” the gardeners assured.
