According to the statistics of the Checking Initiative, So far, 487 demands have been submitted to the government, of which 332 have been accepted by the Government Team for Deregulation. In turn, the Council of Ministers adopted 168 projects, 98 were signed by the president, and 30 were implemented in other ways, e.g. in the form of regulations. Currently – according to the Initiative – 28 demands are being processed in parliament, five new ones have been entered into the Government Legislation Center, and six have been added to the Government's List of Legislative Work.

Another important convenience is change in the provisions on inheritance and donation taxso that the immediate family does not lose tax exemption just because they were late in reporting the inheritance for reasons beyond their control.

Moreover, one of the most important demands of the social side that came into force concerns the so-called tacit consent in official matters. The idea is to make it possible to settle an administrative matter more often without issuing a formal decision if the office does not respond on time. According to the Initiative, the proposal recently signed by the president regarding access of medical examiners to the IKP. It was recalled that until now, patients applying for health certificates had to complete paper medical documentation, even though all this data is already available digitally in the Online Patient Account.

“This solution will simplify procedures, save the time of doctors and patients, reduce costs and reduce the number of unnecessary printouts,” said Rafał Brzoska, the originator of the SprawdzaMY Initiative and member of the Steering Committee, quoted in the information.

It was added that they are also an important step in the fight against bureaucracy simplifications in the Integrated Investment Plan. This plan was intended to facilitate cooperation between municipalities and investors and accelerate the implementation of local investments, such as apartments, schools or parks, but – as it was emphasized – in practice, the regulations turned out to be too complicated and time-consuming, which is why ZPI was rarely used.

“That's why the CheckMY Initiative proposed simplifying procedures and removing legal barriers,” explained Ryszard Chmura, member of the Steering Committee of the CheckMY Initiative.

He pointed out that greater flexibility, clear rules and shorter deadlines will allow urban projects to be implemented faster, reduce bureaucracy and increase the number of investments, jobs and benefits for local communities.

Since the beginning of the Check WE Initiative, citizens and entrepreneurs have reported over 16,000 proposals for changes to the law, of which 70 percent it was supposed to come from citizens. Seven priority areas were selected from among the identified barriers, the so-called The Big Seven of deregulations, including: taxes, digitization of services, justice, energy, EU law, health and improvement of administration and security.

Deregulation is one of the pillars of the economic plan “Poland. Year of a Breakthrough”, which was presented by Prime Minister Donald Tusk in February 2025. In addition to announcing the preparation of deregulatory solutions, the head of government then proposed to the president of InPost, Rafał Brzoska, to lead a team that was to prepare its proposals in this regard.
