During the conversation with journalists, the US President confirmed his earlier announcements regarding the visit of a special Middle East, Steve Witkoff in Russia.
– Maybe next week [w USA jest jeszcze niedziela]on Wednesday or Thursday, he will go to Russia. They want to see him. They asked for a meeting, so we'll see what would come of it – said Donald Trump.
The American leader pointed out that Witkoff is currently focusing on activities related to the situation in the Gaza Strip.
At the end of July, the US President announced that he was shortening the date of the ultimatum presented to Vladimir Putin regarding the end of the war in Ukraine up to 10 days. According to this decision, if the fights cease, on August 8 the United States is to impose new sanctions and duties on Russia.
