Andrei Nicolescu, Dinamo's special administrator, is unhappy that the FCSB derby from stage #4 of the Superligi will not be played on the National Arena, but on the Arc de Triomphe Stadium. “The moment you want to be fair, you are stupid most of the time,” said Nicolescu, according to gsp.ro.

At the headquarters of the Professional Football League took place on Wednesday the draw of the competition program in Superliga, the 2025-2026 edition.

Dinamo-FCSB, derby of Romania, will be played in stage #4, more precisely on the weekend 2-3 August. But the match will not take place on the National Arena, the largest stadium in the country being blocked due to a manele festival. It's about “Festobal”, an event at the first edition.

Therefore, Dinamo – FCSB will be played on the “Arc de Triomphe”, with about 7,000 spectators in the stands.

Dinamo's leader states that in the past there was a meeting between the representatives of the clubs, the Federation and the City Hall regarding the availability of the national arena within the competitive season, but that the initially approved things have not been respected.

  • “It is a pity that a match like Dinamo-FCSB cannot be played on the national arena. (…) Unfortunately, we cannot give more spectators this joy of the derby of Romania. Most likely, it will be played on the” arch “, we have no other solution.
  • I also had some meetings with the representatives of the federation, and of the clubs, with the General City Hall … I agreed some issues, but then the agreed things changed. It seems this is the system we live in. And when you want to be fair, you are stupid most of the time, “said Dinamo's special administrator at GSP Live.
