Lisav Eissat (21 years old), Romanian international and Maccabi Haifa player, spoke about the transfer that did not materialize to Dinamo.

The Romanian international was in talks with the “dogs”, but the transfer fell through, and then he signed the extension until 2029 with his current club. Eissat said it “has a different objective”. The footballer also revealed that he met recently with Nikita Stoinov, the Israeli international who is the starting point in the “dogs” defence.

Lisav Eissat explained why he refused Dinamo in the winter: “My target is to reach the top five championships”

“My goal is a little different than that of playing in the Romanian championship. I play for a big club in Israel, where the goal is to qualify for the European cups. My goal is to reach the top 5 championships in Europe and I am convinced that I will succeed.

I had a coffee with Nikita Stoinov two days ago. He told me how happy he is at Dinamo. And they want to qualify for the European cups. Nikita is a very good friend and I wish him the best. I hope he will do a good job there”, said Lisav Eissat, according to sport.ro.

His brother, Liam Eissat, was on trial at Dinamo this winter, but was not kept in the “pack”.

  • Lisav Eissat was born and raised in Israel, but represents Romania internationally. He played at club level for Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Hadera. He has already scored two matches for the Romanian national team, but for this spring's action he was called up to the U21 national team

  • It is quoted at 600,000 euros by specialized websites. In this competitive season he played 23 matches, scored a goal and provided an assist. Maccabi Haifa is in 5th place in the ranking of the first league in Israel.
