The Élysée Palace said that the meeting of European leaders with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in London allowed for continuation of “working together on the American peace plan” for Ukraine.
The Elysee Palace recalled that the aim of working together on the plan proposed by the United States is to complement it with the contribution of European countries, “in close coordination” with Kiev.

As he reported, during the meeting, the politicians held a “detailed discussion on joint diplomatic work with the American side” and also agreed “common position on security guarantees and reconstruction“Ukraine after the end of the war with Russia.

“We also held a separate conversation on further defense support for Ukraine,” the president said, adding thanks to the leaders of Great Britain, France and Germany for the meeting and “personal contribution to achieving peace.”

A spokesman for Starmer's office said the current moment is the closest to peace in the nearly four years since Russia's invasion of Ukraine.. “We are glad that talks are continuing at every level,” he emphasized.

Volodymyr Zelensky from London will go to Brussels on Monday, where he will meet NATO Secretary General Mark Rutt and the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
