The spokesman for the Polish Financial Supervision Authority later commented on the matter.
“In connection with information regarding Orlen SA's plans to increase its involvement in Energa SA to 100% – including the announcement of an invitation to shareholders to submit offers for the sale of shares – The KNF office is conducting investigations covering all aspects of this case” – said Jacek Barszczewski, spokesman for the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, in a message posted earlier on the X platform. He specified that “The aim of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority is to conduct a complete and reliable analysis of all circumstances and to make its results public as soon as possible“.

Now the KNF spokesman has posted another entry on the X website, stating that The Polish Financial Supervision Authority announced that it had identified people whose “actions may have violated the law.” Barszczewski also added that “the Office is currently conducting activities aimed at collecting further information and identifying possible further aspects of the case.”
Takeover of Energia by Orlen

The decision to take full control over Energa was made by the Orlen Management Board on November 17, 2025.however, as the company informs, its publication was delayed in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) No. 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
