Krasnoyarsk Metropolitan conducted a conversation about Russian spiritual and moral values

Metropolitan Nikita met with the leadership and personnel of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and held a conversation on the topic of preservation and Strengthening Russian spiritual and moral values.

During the discussion of the topic, Vladyka Nikita noted that the voiced values ​​are the fundamental basis of Russian society and the state, and in the context of modern challenges, “their preservation acquires strategic importance for national security.”

According to the metropolitan, the church sees its task in the spiritual education of the people, the formation of personality on the basis of Orthodox values, preserving the ethnocultural heritage and ensuring national security through moral education. And employees of the internal affairs bodies “are on the advanced protection of spiritual and moral values”, because their tasks include preventing and suppressing the spread of destructive ideologies, ensuring public safety, protecting life, health and rights of citizens, preserving historical memory and maintaining the unity of society.

“For the effective implementation of these tasks, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs must have a developed value-semantic sphere, receive high-quality humanitarian training, and participate in systemic educational work. Of particular importance is professional selection according to moral criteria, constant spiritual and moral improvement, awareness of responsibility for protecting traditional values. The church and the Ministry of Internal Affairs have common tasks in the field of spiritual and moral education of employees, counteracting destructive ideologies, preserving historical memory, protecting traditional family values, and supporting social initiatives. The forms of cooperation between us should include joint events, the organization of spiritual and educational work, the development of a mentoring system, support for volunteer movements … ”, says Metropolitan of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsky.
