The champion of the 2019 Universiade in Krasnoyarsk and other athletes will represent Russia at the Olympics in Italy

The Sports Training Center for Russian National Teams has announced the names of participants in the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. The list included 13 athletes. They will perform in a neutral status.
Thus, alpine skier Semyon Efimov, champion of the Krasnoyarsk Universiade 2019 in slalom, was invited to the competition. He overtook the Austrian Richard Leitgeb. Then the foreign athlete shared that this silver medal was “akin to gold” for him.

- figure skaters Pyotr Gumennik and Adelia Petrosyan (who also competed at the Grand Prix of Figure Skating in Krasnoyarsk);
- skiers Saveliy Korostelev and Daria Nepryaeva;
- ski mountaineer Nikita Filippov;
- short track speed skaters Ivan Posashkov and Alena Krylova;
- speed skaters Ksenia Korzhova and Anastasia Semenova;
- lugers Daria Olesik and Pavel Repilov
- Alpine skier Yulia Pleshkova.
The XXV Winter Olympic Games will take place in Italy from February 6 to 22. For the first time, the Olympics will officially be held in two cities: ice disciplines will be hosted by Milan, and snow sports, bobsleigh, luge and curling will be hosted by Cortina d'Ampezzo.
