Cleansing in the Pentagon. The main advisers do not know why they were released

Former senior adviser Dan Caldwell, former deputy chief of staff Darin Selnick and Colin Carroll, former chief of staff of the deputy secretary of the defense, said in the post on X that “they were not told in what exactly the matter was conducted in which the investigation was conducted, whether there was still an active investigation or whether there was a real investigation at all.”
Their public comments on “unacceptable” and unjustly release are part of the Pentagon -abounding weekly week. On Friday, he finished his work in the current position, among others Joe Kasper, Chief of Staff of the Secretary of Defense Pete Hegeth. It was Kasper who signed a note that authorizes leaks test.
Politico announced this week that the advisers were covered by an investigation into a series of leaks, which included reports about Elon Musk's visit to the Pentagon, military plans for the Panama Canal, the second aircraft carrier heading to the Red Sea and a break in the collection of intelligence data for Ukraine.
Former officials denied the allegations. “Nameless officials of the Pentagon defined us and destroyed our reputation with unfounded attacks when we left,” said former Pentagon officials in a statement published on the Caldwell account.
Not a word about the former boss
They still express support for the “mission of the administration of Trump and Vance so that the Pentagon would be great again”, but they do not even sacrifice [sekretarzowi obrony] Pete HegeSth, with whom they worked closely.
Former officials also said that they hope to support the initiative of the administration “Peace through strength” in “different positions”.
Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell did not answer the request for comment.
The lack of public support for their former boss is worthy of attention. HegeSeth remains the subject of the Pentagon General Inspector in the matter of whether he has provided secret information in the chat in Signal with national security leaders.
