Apple equipment with a new system now. Not all devices have a chance to do it

Apple has just presented iOS 26, i.e. a new operating system, including For iPhones, which introduces many new products. This software will be made available in the form of updates in September 2025.

Apple representatives have just presented new operating systems for their brand's devices. The name of this software is iOS 26, because the concern decided to change the numbering and after last year's iOS 18 for iPhones to level them for all devices.

Refreshed interface

This time Apple has focused on quite large changes, which are visible immediately after the equipment is turned on. First of all, the user interface has been refreshedwhere there are the most news since iOS 7 from 2013. A lot of transparency with the glass effect and new stripes in applications and more rounded animations have been added – says INTERIA.PL.

Two new applications have also appeared – games and a preview. Many innovative functions can also be found in other applications, e.g. in messages you can set the backgrounds in chats. Automatic translations will also appear. However, Hold Assist will appear on the phone. There were also new products based on artificial intelligence, including Extensive Visual Intelligence functionality.

Not on every Apple device

Currently, iOS 26 is at the beta test stage, while from July it will be able to test it. However, the final update will not be ready only in September. However, it will not go to all devices. According to Telepolis, the iPhone models have a gray model from the model 11 and, including the renewed iPhone SE 2, as well as:

• iPad Air (m2)
• iPad Air 3. Generation (and newer)
• iPad (A16)
• iPad 8. Generation (and newer)
• iPad mini (A17 PRO)
• iPad mini 5. generation (and newer)

In turn, the latest Watchos will be able to be installed on Apple Watch from the 6 series and on the Apple Watch SE 2 generation.

However, in the case of Apple computers, the update will only apply to models:

• MacBook Air with Apple Silicon (2020 and newer)
• MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon (2020 and newer)
• MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)
• MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020)
• iMac (2020 and newer)
• Mac Mini (2020 and newer)
• Mac Studio (2022 and newer)
• Mac Pro (2019 and newer)
