As Asekuro.pl notes, a smartphone policy protects against damage, theft, loss or unauthorized connections. It also covers damage to accessories, and some insurers reimburse data costs incurred after theft. You can often purchase additional display protection.
In turn, as Rankomat.pl notes, the phone can be insured with an operator (e.g. T-Mobile, Orange, Plus), under an extended warranty, with a dedicated policy (e.g. Warta) or a housing policy.

The cheapest protection usually covers only the display and costs from PLN 10 per month. Wider variants protect all equipment, also against theft or robbery, but are more expensive. In home insurance policies, a smartphone is one of many insured items, and compensation is paid after a loss.
The standard policy protects against mechanical damage, flooding, and sometimes theft. However, it does not cover normal wear and tear, minor scratches or damage resulting from misuse. Theft without traces of forced entry or loss of a phone is rarely protected.
As calculated by Rankomat.pl, phone insurance prices depend on the value of the equipment, scope of protection and the selected variant. An extended warranty for a PLN 2,000 smartphone costs approximately PLN 500 for 3 years, and for the operator – from PLN 120 to PLN 420 per year. In a home insurance policy, basic protection for all property (including a telephone) is on average PLN 233 per year.
