The United States has transmitted to Israel that they will reject a resolution of the UN Security Council on Wednesday, on Wednesday, an immediate, unconditional and permanent armistice between Israel and Hamas, Axios reports, according to Reuters.

The text, supported by 10 Member States of the Council consisting of 15 countries, also requires unrestricted humanitarian access in the Palestinian enclave, where experts warn that hunger is imminent.

The US mission at the UN has refused to reveal the measures in mind, while Israel rejected calls to a permanent armistice, claiming that Hamas cannot be left in Gaza.

At least 45 Palestinians were killed on Wednesday following the Israeli air attacks on the Gaza Strip, according to health officer in Gaza, the source noted.

The Israeli army announced, in turn, that a soldier died on Wednesday, after the day before he had reported three deaths.

Prior to the vote of the UN Security Council on a possible armistice, the UN humanitarian head, Tom Fletcher, again asked for unrestricted humanitarian access, insisting that the UN and humanitarian organizations have a plan, resources and experience.

“Open all the passage points. Let the saving aid enter, from all directions. Raise the restrictions on the quantity and types of aid. Make sure our convoys are not blocked by delays and refusals,” Fletcher said in a statement.

Experts warn that the entire population in Gaza risks hunger, despite the efforts to additional aid.

The UN has been accusing Israel for a long time to prevent the distribution of aid, while Israel claims that Hamas steals the aid, an accusation that the group denies.

The newly created Humanitarian Foundation for Gaza (GHF) announced on Tuesday that it has distributed over seven million meals from the beginning of its operations, a week ago. The interim director of the GHF, John Acree, appealed to the humanitarian organizations in Gaza: “Collaborate with us and we will lead to those who depend on them.”
