Representing the Ultra -Post -Jewish Jews, the United Judaism Alliance Torah threatened on Wednesday that the solution to the Israeli Parliament would support the release from the military service of young members of this group. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has a week to save the coalition and avoid elections.

The rabbis, who were the spiritual leaders of the Broadcast of Torah, recommended their MPs on Wednesday to present the bill on the dissolution of parliament. The grouping is part of the religious alliance United Judaism Torah (UTJ), whose second part – the Agudat Israel party – has already pressed new elections.
According to the Haarec daily, the Parliament would also be supported by the Sefardian Torah Guard Party (Szas).
Both religious formations are part of the current coalition. Utj has seven, and Szas – 11 deputies in a 120 -member parliament, KneSet. Netanyahu now has a 68-person majority.
Both UTJ and SZAS represent ultra -port -oxidal Jews (Charedim) and demand the adoption of a law that would release young men from this group from compulsory military service. The case arouses great controversy in Israeli society.
Ultragoradoxy emphasize that military service is incompatible with their way of life, and by consumption young men may leave from faith. Secular groups refer to social solidarity and argue that one cannot agree to collective release at a time when the country wages wars.
In response to the pressure of religious parties, Jair Lapid, the leader of the largest opposition grouping is the future, announced that next Wednesday, June 11, he will submit a bill on the dissolution of parliament.
Other opposition parties have already announced that they would support this application. To be voted, however, the voices of coalition parliamentarians are needed. The adoption of the law would mean new elections. According to the latest survey of the “Maariw” daily, the current opposition would take over.
The Israeli press points out that UTJ and SZAS may, in a gesture of protest against Netanyahu, come out of the government, but not vote for the dissolution of parliament.
The current government of Israel is the most right -wing and nationalist office in the history of the country. The Netanyahu coalition meets a wide criticism of a large part of Israeli society. It applies to, among others The way the war was waged in the Gaza Strip, reluctance to settle accounts from errors that led to this conflict or the takeover of subsequent state institutions by the government, which, according to the opposition, threatens democracy.
“This is the end of this parliament, which brought to Israel only pain, catastrophes, suffering and crises (…) you will not adopt the law of avoidance (military service – PAP), since every day the wonderful children of the Israeli nation die in our defense” – emphasized Lapid.
