The 33rd edition of the UNITER Awards Gala took place on Monday, in the “Amza Pellea” hall of the “Marin Sorescu” National Theater in Craiova, and the distinctions for the best actors in the main roles went to Oana Mogoș for the role “Valeria” in the show “Regina Night”, respectively to Vlad Udrescu for the “Hamlet” role.

There were 16 categories of prizes with nominations, five prizes for the entire activity, a prize of excellence, five special prizes, the president's prize and the British Council award, according to the Bucharest National Theater. The jury was made up of Oltița Cîntec (theater critic), Andrei Măjeri (director), Ana Bianca Popescu (actress), Iuliana Vîlsan (scenograph), Irina Wolf (theater critic).

Distinctions granted In the Uniter 2025 Awards Gala:

  • The prize for the best show It was won by “Richard III” by William Shakespeare, adaptation after Vecese H. Miklós, directed by István Albu, the decoration and costumes of Erika Márton, the North Satu Mare Theater-the band “Harag György”.

  • Prize for best original music and sound design It was won by Eduard Gabia and Călin Ţopa for the music of the show “7 minutes after midnight” (A Monster Calls), after the novel “A Monster Calls” by Patrick Ness after an original idea by Siobhan Dowd, the dramatization of Mihaela Michailov, directed by Bobi Pricop, the Clara Pop scenography, the Excelsior Theater.
  • Prize of President UNITER – Emil Boroghina and Vlad Drăgulescu for the Shakespeare Festival in Craiova.
  • The prize for the best Romanian dramatic text mounted for the Absolute Premiere He was won by “scared songs”, show-concent show by Ada Milea, after ideas from texts by Hurta Müller, scenography Alexandra Mureșan, “Lucian Blaga” The Theater Cluj-Napoca.
  • Award for best actor in the lead role It was won by Vlad Udrescu for the titular role in the show “Hamlet” by William Shakespeare, the artistic director and the scenic adaptation trlan Donnellan, the scenography Nick ormerod, the National Theater “Marin Sorescu” Craiova.
  • Award for best scenography It was won by Oana Micu for the scenography of the show “Lesson” by Eugène Ionesco, directed by Bobi Pricop, “Marin Sorescu” National Theater Craiova.
  • Prize for the entire activity scenography: Horațiu Mihaiu.
  • Prize for best actress in the lead role It was won by Oana Mogoş for the role of Valeria (Mamaia, Grigore's daughter) from the show “Regina Night”, the text and directed by Leta Popescu, the scenography Bogdan Spătaru, the “Fani Tardini” Dramatic Theater.
  • Special prizes -The D-Butan-T festival-the search engine of the artists at the beginning of the road, organized by the “Andrei Mureșanu” Theater Sfântu Gheorghe.

  • The “George Banu” award for the best theater critic was won by Oana Borș.
  • Award for the entire critical activity and theatrical history: Carmen Mihalache.
  • Award for best Lighting Design It was won by Sándor Baumgartner for lighting the design of the show “Furtuna” by William Shakespeare, directed by Viktor Bodó, the decoration of Hanna Erős, the Bori Vizykó costumes, the “Tamási Áron” Theater Sfântu Gheorghe.
  • Special prizes – Biennale of scenography Bucharest – project resumed after 32 years by the Romanian Center Oistat.
  • Award for best video design It was won by Adrian Sitaru for the director of the filming from the show “Bloody wedding” by Federico García Lorca, directed by Hunor Horváth, Scenography Elöd Golicza, Zsofia Gabor's costumes, “Radu Stanca” Sibiu – German Section.   • Award for best actor in the secondary role It was won by Ştefan Mihai for the role of the part in the show “Twelfth night” by William Shakespeare, directed by Andrei Șerban, scenography Carmencita Brojboiu, Constanta State Theater.
  • Special prizes: Purcărete Week – 50 years of excellence in the theater, project produced by the National Theater “Marin Sorescu” Craiova, initiated by Vlad Drăgulescu.
  • Award for the entire Actress Activity: Rodica Negrea.
