The Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov reacted Monday to the criticisms made by Donald Trump to Russian President Vladimir Putin, reports the BBC.
Peskov was asked by the BBC, in a press conference, if he is “worried” by the criticisms made by Donald Trump, including Trump's statement that Putin “completely crazy” with repeated attacks against Ukraine.
“Of course, the beginning of the negotiation process, for which the American part has made many efforts, is a very important achievement and we are truly grateful to Americans and President Trump for their help in organizing and launching this negotiation process,” Peskov replied.
“It is a very important achievement. Of course, at the same time, this is an important moment that is related to an emotional overload of all those involved and there are emotional reactions,” added Peskov.
“We carefully pursue all the reactions. On the other hand, the President Putin makes these decisions necessary for the security of our country. We were all witnesses to the way the Kiev regime threatened the foreign leaders before they came to Moscow to commemorate Victoria's Day. Everyone has heard these threats from Kiev. Kiev to hit the Russian territory with drones, big cities, even the capital, on the eve of such important days.
Trump, about Putin: “He took it completely crazy!”
Donald Trump has harshly criticized Vladimir Putin and threatened to impose new sanctions, these new statements of the US President coming after Moscow forces have held an unprecedented air attack on Ukraine, in which at least 12 people died, including three children.
“I am not satisfied with what Putin does. He kills a lot of people,” Trump told the press in New Jersey on Sunday, even before boarding his plane to return to his white house at his Bedminister Golf Club.
“I don't know what the hell has happened with Putin. I have known him for a long time. I always got along with him. But he attacks rocket cities and kills people, and I don't like that at all. We are in the middle of a negotiation, and he shoots on Kiev and other cities,” added the US president.
