The interim president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, said in a show at Antena 1, that his party will come with concrete proposals at the Cotroceni consultations regarding the formation of the new government, and that there are some “red lines” over which the Social Democrats will not pass.
“I appreciate the opening that the new presidency shows, I also understood from the election campaign that he wants, and he wanted a pro-European majority.
Grindeanu detailed these “red lines”, starting with the financing of local administrations. “We can never agree with the underfunding of local authorities. We and the other colleagues in the ruling coalition, that the PSD was not governed alone, was together with the PNL throughout this period. In these years, we have funded many local projects. There are projects that local communities need.
I would not want to see a reduction of investments on large infrastructure projects in the coming years. It's another red line, ”said Grindeanu.
In addition, the social-democratic leader excluded any measure that would decrease the income of Romanians through fiscal interventions: “In these years, no matter how much it is spoken of the negative side, the revenues of the Romanians have increased the most. Almost 80% increased the average pension, by 75% more the minimum wage, with over 50%. social-democrats.
Sorin Grindeanu showed that he asked his colleagues from the economic area in the party and on the financial area to prepare a set of measures.
“We with this set of measures will go to Cotroceni with concrete proposals, with our vision and we will present them to the president and surely we will present to the other parties that want to find out our proposals,” said Grindeanu.
