The young suspect in the killing of Charlie Kirk would have recognized the deed on the discord, before the arrest: “I went to Utah Valley University yesterday”

A few hours before being arrested for the killing of Charlie Kirk, the 22-year-old Tyler Robinson seemed to take responsibility for the deed in a message sent to his friends on the discord platform, a spokesman of the company confirmed.

“Hey, boys, I have bad news for you all,” It was mentioned in an account sent from an account that would belong to Tyler Robinson, according to the spokesman and a source of law enforcement, reports CBS News.
“I went to Utah Valley University (UVU) yesterday. I'm sorry for all this.”
The messages were initially reported by The Washington Post.
Utah's governor Spencer Cox said Robinson would have confessed his father's deed. Robinson was detained on Thursday night, the FBI director, Kash Patel, said on Friday.
The previous day, Patel ordered the publication of several photos with the alleged shooter and asked for the help of the population for identification.
During the search, according to two sources of law enforcement, Robinson and his friends discussed the shot in a discord group of over 20 people-a platform especially among gamers. Originally, the spokesman of Discord said that a company's internal investigation did not find “No proof that the suspect planned this incident or promoted violence on discord.”
At least three friends asked Robinson to confirm if he was the shooter, saying that the photographs published by the FBI resembled him, the sources of law enforcement said. He did not obviously denist. A friend joked, suggesting that he did not go to McDonald's-reference to the case of another accused shooter-and the account associated with Robinson replied: “Better to get rid of this manifesto and the exact copy of the kid I have in the house.”
Before arresting, messages from the account that seems to belong to Robinson seemed to indicate that he was planning to surrender. “I teach myself through a sheriff friend in a few moments, thank you for all the good moments and the laughter, you were wonderful, thank you for everything,” He would have written, according to the discord spokesman.
Robinson was later detained under charges of aggravated crime, obstruction and use of firearms. The state intends to demand the death penalty, said Governor Cox. According to the prosecutor's office in Utah County, Robinson could appear in court for the first time on Tuesday afternoon, after the official formulation of the charges.
