The result of the first round of presidential elections in Poland is similar to expectations; Surveys that will appear last week before the second round may be crucial for markets – says the chief economist Credit Agricole Jakub Borowski.


“At this stage, it is difficult to expect the result to be picked up by markets as a surprising, medium survey indicated that it would be close and that it would be a order. Of course, we have big surprises in lower places” – Biznes Borowski told PAP.
“From the point of view of receipt by markets, what is happening in Polish politics, the poll will be the key, which will appear next week, because this week will be a run -up to the second round. If the polls next week showed that Rafał Trzaskowski ceased to be a favorite in the race, then we can expect a market situation. Trzaskowski ” – he added.
According to the economist, last week before the second round of presidential elections – which will take place on June 1 – the role of surveys as a market factor will be greater.
