Dino strike? Employees are demanding ZFŚS
Despite the dynamic development of the chain and the recent opening of the 3,000th store, Dino employees express dissatisfaction with working conditions.
The most important thing is the lack of a Social Benefits Fund, which, according to Polish law, should be established by companies employing more than 50 employees, unless trade unions or an employee representative agree to waive this obligation.
Such consent was issued in 2010, but trade unions are now questioning the legality of those decisions (the election of the employee representative could have been held contrary to the regulations) and are announcing the possibility of taking the case to court – writes the portal dlahandlu.pl.
Dino – trade unions are threatening to strike. “We express our strong opposition”
“We express our strong opposition to the situation we found in the company,” says Wojciech Jendrusiak, chairman of the Inter-Enterprise Trade Union Organization OPZZ Konfederacja Pracy, operating at Dino Polska since November 2025, to banker.pl. “Employees report to us clear and repeated signals regarding the lack of basic social benefits to which they are fully entitled.”
Trade unionists point out the lack of Christmas vouchers, subsidies for recreation or benefits in difficult life situations. They also emphasize that the salaries of many employees do not exceed the minimum wage.
Dino. Problems with the Social Fund and working conditions
Dino employees also report problems with working conditions, including the temperature in stores and social rooms.
“There is still an advertisement in our store looking for new employees, which shows that the working conditions leave much to be desired,” one of the employees, Piotr, tells the banker.pl portal.
Workers also complain about conditions on social media. Mrs. Martyna, who introduces herself as an employee of one of the Dino supermarkets, draws attention to the low temperatures in the stores: “The store is set at 19 degrees Celsius, and with the cold stores in operation, the temperature drops to about 15 degrees. Many employees often get sick or come to work despite being infected because they cannot afford longer sick leaves.”
Similar problems concern social rooms, where the temperature in the locker rooms is only 15-16 degrees – found the portal dlahandlu.pl. The network's management was informed about these problems, but employees claim that the situation has not improved.

Dino employees give an ultimatum
The trade unions clearly announce that the lack of response from the management by December 9 will result in the commencement of a collective dispute procedure. In the worst-case scenario, this could lead to a chain-wide strike.
Meanwhile, Dino Polska's financial results for 2024 look impressive. According to the annual report, the group's revenues amounted to PLN 29.274 billion and net profit amounted to PLN 1.505 billion. Revenues increased by 14.1%. year to year, which confirms the dynamic development of the network.
