CPN package extended? There is a decision on VAT. What about excise duty?

Lower VAT rate on petrol and diesel and biocomponents is to be valid until June 30, 2026 – according to the regulation published on Friday in the Journal of Laws. The regulation also extends its application maximum price at stations. The government's CPN package also includes a reduction in excise duty and its extension requires the publication of a regulation on excise duty rates. As PAP found out, there will be no extension of the excise tax reduction on some fuels.
Pursuant to the regulation published on Friday, a reduced tax rate of up to 8% will apply until the end of June. — VAT rate on gasoline, diesel oil and biocomponents constituting intrinsic fuels. The basic VAT rate for these goods was previously 23%.
Until when CPN? Maximum prices and reduced VAT
The extension of the application of the lower VAT rate by two weeks also means that the maximum prices of petrol and diesel at stations will be determined for longer.
The amendment to the Act on Crude Oil Stocks links the maximum prices to reduced VAT on fuels.
CPN Package – Current Conditions
A regulation reducing VAT on fuel from 23 to 8 percent is in force until June 15. and a regulation reducing excise duty.
Excise duty is reduced by 29 gr per liter of petrol and 28 gr per liter of diesel oil, i.e. to the lowest level allowed by the European Union.
Additionally, every weekday the Minister of Energy announces the maximum retail prices of gasoline and diesel oil.
