Steel Galați and Constanța Lighthouse finished in a draw, score 0-0, the match played on Friday in the ninth stage of the Superligi play-out.
As a result, the steel ends the play-out in 2nd place, with 35 points (it has no UEFA license), while the Lighthouse is in 3rd place, with 31 points.
Gheorghe Hagi's band has to finish in the top 4 of the play-out for playing the dam for a place in the Conference League preliminaries with the team in the 4th place in the play-off.
The “sailors” can be surpassed by UTA Arad (30 points, duel with Gloria Buzău) and Petrol Ploiești (28 points, match with Poli Iași). The Prahovean group will pass over the lighthouse if the two teams will finish on equal points, because it did not benefit from rounding at the entrance to the play-out.
The teams have evolved:
- Steel: Dur-Bozoancă-Zhelev, Stevanovic, Cisse, M. Silva-Bourard (N. Rosu '77), Lameira, Teles (I. Neagu '90)-Maciel (Farcas '90), Bicfalvi (Hofman '34), Andronache (A. Stan '46). Coach: Laszlo Balint
- Lighthouse: Buzbuchi – Sîrbu, Marins, Ţîru, C. Ganea – Dican, Radaslavescu (A. Ciobanu '72), Banu (G. Buta '9) – Grigoryan (I. Cojocaru '72), Alibec (Doicaru '60), Băsceanu (G. Iancu '72). Coach: Gheorghe Hagi.
