Which competitions enjoy the greatest respect in Poland?


In this year's ranking of the most respected competition, conducted by SW Research, firefighters once again took first place, winning as much as 83 percent. votes. Representatives of medical professions, such as nurses (fourth place) and doctors (fifth place), also included highly in the ranking. However, the difference between the headlamps and subsequent places is noticeable – it is on average eight percentage points.
Bottom of the ranking without surprises
The ranking is closed by influencers (13.6 percent of votes) and YouTubers (13.8 percent). National politicians – MPs (21.7 percent) and ministers (27.6 percent) – also remain in the tail of the statement, not exceeding the level of 28 percent. social respect.
– Low notes of influencers, youtubers and politicians – both national and European – may indicate a deep crisis of trust in professions perceived as focused on self -promotion, controversy or detached from the daily problems of ordinary citizens – emphasizes Zimolzak. – This reflection of broader social phenomena, such as disinformation in social media, political fatigue and growing expectation of authenticity and social utility.
The greatest promotions and declines
This year's ranking did not lack surprises. The individual farmer recorded the greatest promotion, moving 10 places and currently taking the 11th position. Accountants (22nd place) and officers in the rank of captain (12th place) also corrected their ratings.

On the other hand, priests fell as many as eight places, landing in 40th place in the ranking. In turn, entrepreneurs running large companies have sought six places, taking the 28th position. The judges also recorded a decrease by four points (23rd place).
Debutants in the ranking – from the border guard to the ballet dancer
Among the 12 debutants, the highest place was taken by the border guard (sixth place and 66.4 percent of votes). Stewards and flight attendants (16th place, 54.7 percent), postmen (18th place, 53.3 percent) and psychotherapists (20th place, 51.5 percent) were also good. Medium notes were won by TIR drivers (27th place), waiters (31st place), ballet dancers (33rd place), actors (34th place) and personal trainers (41st place). Barometer of social values
As the authors of the ranking emphasize, the results of the study are a reflection of what Poles value in their professional life. High marks for professions related to responsibility and help to others indicate the growing value of social trust. At the same time, low grades for influencers and politicians show that Poles distance themselves from professions, which they perceive as little authentic.
The study was conducted in April 2025 on a representative sample of 1000 adult Poles using the online interview method (CAWI) as part of the omniwatch48 survey. This year's list included 51 professions, including 12 new categories.
