Despite the fact that his economic policy, and especially the increasing trade war with most other countries, caused a change in international order and significant fluctuations in the markets. It also strongly affected the US economy.

The value of this country's GDP in the first quarter of 2025 fell by 0.3 percent. – And it happened before Trump announced for most countries in the world. It was the first quarter with a decrease from 2022. Shortly after the declaration of customs duties, Trump suspended the moment of their entry into force for 90 days, giving business partners time to negotiate. At the same time, however, the duties imposed on China raised to over 100 percent.
Trump tries to burden his predecessor responsibility for the economic situation in the USA. He claims that instability on the American stock exchange is the result of not his aggressive customs policy, but Joe Biden's actions. “It's Biden's stock exchange, not Trump,” he wrote on the Truth Social platform.
He directed a similar allegation in terms of democrat at the last meeting of the office, referring to the economic results published by the US Department of Trade for the first quarter. “It's a biden,” he said.
