Sorin Grindeanu, hot conclusions about the defeat in the elections in the Capital. The PSD leader announces an analysis on participation in government

“This analysis will include everything related to the public agenda and the decisions to be taken by the Government, by Prime Minister Bolojan in the next period, the way the budget is to be built and the way our proposals will be taken into account. All of this will count in the analysis we started today. Whether we are talking about the minimum wage, the local or central administration, the 2026 budget, all elements will be evaluated and, in the end, we will vote, as we did six months ago,” said Sorin Grindeanu.
The PSD leader mentioned that an evaluation was also made of what happened in the elections for the Capital City Hall and claimed that Daniel Băluță would not have won the position of mayor under any circumstances, not even if he had given a political speech.
“We have already made an assessment of the mistakes we made in the Capital. In the end, the coalition candidate won, and our candidate came in 2nd place. Ciucu said vote for me so that extremism does not win. Anca Alexandrescu said that, if he had won, he would have removed Bolojan. However, we came with a technical, administrative speech, focused on what we wanted to achieve in Bucharest. Our message, based on the good things done by Daniel in Sector 4, it was weaker than the others. The lack of a strong political message brought us to the situation we are in today. If Daniel had had a political speech, he would probably have won the 2nd place, without any doubt, the other places where we had elections.”Grindeanu concluded.
The PSD president also said that the situation of USR Minister Diana Buzoianu was also discussed in the meeting, but that he will first have a meeting with Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan before announcing the grievances related to the minister.
