Kazakhstan will issue “gold visas” for a residence permit for investments

Kazakhstan approved the conditions for obtaining an investor visa, the country's Foreign Ministry said.

Foreigners will be able to submit an electronic application for its design for investments in the amount of 300 thousand dollars (about 24.4 million rubles at the rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation as of May 1, 2025) in the authorized capital of local companies or emission securities.

Such a “gold visa” provides for the possibility of obtaining a residence permit in Kazakhstan in the future for up to ten years, the department noted. The document will enter into force 10 days after the official publication.

Forbes Kazakhstan recalled that for the first time the introduction of the Golden Visa in the country was spoke in 2018. In November 2024, Kazakhstan introduced NEO NOMAD visas for “modern nomads”, which work within the country for companies outside it. They are designed for people with official employment and a monthly income of 3 thousand dollars (about 244.5 thousand rubles at the Central Bank rate on May 1, 2025). Visa owners can be in Kazakhstan up to a year if all this time they are employed in a foreign company. The publication “Cauces” wrote in February 2025 that seven people received such visas.
