In Krasnoyarsk Cement LLC (subsidiary of JSC KhK Sibets), an ecological tour took place for students of school No. 6 of the city of Krasnoyarsk, according to the results of the event, they were able to complete the tasks of thematic quiz.

First, the guests visited the factory museum, where they were told about the 80-year history of the enterprise, its achievements and development prospects. The guys learned about professions in demand in cement production, stages of manufacturing basic building materials and plant units, as well as the social policy of the Siberian cement holding.

Ekaterina Tomilova, deputy chief ecologist of Krasnoyarsk Cement LLC, explained to schoolchildren that the plant belongs to objects of the first category that has a negative environmental impact. In 2024, the inventory of sources of pollutant emissions was actualized and approved, on the basis of which the enterprise issued a comprehensive environmental permit.

The company has undertaken obligations to implement a program for increasing environmental efficiency and a plan of measures when declaring a regime of adverse weather conditions. Compliance with the plant of all requirements of environmental legislation is controlled by supervisory authorities.

“Cements help not only with the career guidance of representatives of the younger generation, but also with the environmental education of youth. The issues of preservation of nature excite all the Krasnoyarsk residents and residents of the region, as well as the factory workers themselves. It is important that people receive reliable information about the implementation of projects to increase the level of environmental safety of production at the enterprise. By organizing excursions, we contribute to the formation of a correct idea of ​​the population about the process of cement release and in general about the activities of the plant, which is carried out in compliance with all established standards, ”said Dmitry Kireev, managing director of Krasnoyarsk Cement LLC.

The guys also learned that the Krasnoyarsk Cement LLC has its own accredited sanitary and industrial laboratory, whose personnel monitor polluting emissions from organized stationary sources and checking the efficiency of 71 gas-treatment plants operating at the industrial site. Based on the laboratory data, all the required reporting for verification departments is compiled.

During the tour, schoolchildren visited the main production units, including in the “fingertips” workshop, where they were able to get acquainted with the operation of the automatic outbreak control system. The equipment was installed directly at the mouth of the chimney, a single for three rotating furnaces – the main sources of emissions. The children were told that the 130-meter pipe was built in 2020 instead of three structures of a smaller height in order to improve the scattering of dust and gases in the surface layer of the atmosphere, which made it possible to ensure the observance of hygiene standards of pollutants in the air.

“I liked both the tour and the quiz. It was interesting to know that the plant’s products are used to tamp up oil and gas wells. I also did not know that such a high pipe with sensors was installed at the enterprise. It is immediately obvious that everything is under control, ”the ninth -grader Timofei Dorovsky shared his impressions.

In addition, environmentalists explained to children why steam comes from the pipe, especially noticeable in the cold season. This is due to the production technology: it is made in a wet way, and the clinker (a semi -finished product from which cement is then received) is burned at high temperatures in rotating furnaces. The system of automatic emissions allows for real time to monitor the main parameters of the gas -air mixture and concentrations of marker substances. Monitoring results are transmitted to the website of the Ministry of Ecology of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The plant also continues to participate in the federal project “Clean Air”.

The environmental quiz completed the event, children were invited to confirm or refute 20 facts about the Krasnoyarsk cement and the production of cement. Schoolchildren successfully coped with the tasks of the cognitive game, the best participants received commemorative souvenirs with the corporate symbols of the Siberian Cement holding.
