These measures consist of blocking an important treaty regarding the sharing of water between the two countries, the closure of the main terrestrial border position between the two neighboring states and discounts of diplomatic personnel.

Attari-Wagah border point between the two rival countries “will be closed with immediate effect,” said Indian Minister Vikram Misri, adding that people who have valid travel documents can use it before May 1.
Also, “the 1960 treaty on the water of the induced river will be suspended with immediate effect until the Pakistan renounces in a credible and irrevocable way for its support for cross-border terrorism,” Vikram Misri journalists in New Delhi.
This treaty theoretically divides the water between the two countries, but has been at the origin of numerous disputes. Pakistan has long been afraid that India, which is upstream, could restrict its access to water, which would affect its agriculture.
The treaty allowed the creation of the Indo-Pakistani commission, mainly responsible for solving the water sharing problems between the two countries. Based on this, India and Pakistan each have access to three rivers that spring from the Himalayas and each country has rights to hydroelectric energy and access to irrigation resources.
India has said that he also ordered the military attackers of Islamabad and other Pakistanian military personnel in New Delhi to leave the country within a week and that he will also withdraw his Pakistan councilors in terms of defense, navy and aviation.
The Pakistani government will convene on Thursday the National Security Committee “to respond to the Indian Executive statement”, the X-Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq said on Wednesday evening, but also Foreign Minister, AFP reports. This body composed of high civilian and military responsibilities is reunited only in extreme cases.
No group has claimed for the moment the responsibility of the attack that killed 26 people on Tuesday in the Indian region, with a Muslim majority, where Rebelli has been insurrection since 1989.
After the acquisition of independence in 1947, India and Pakistan disputes their sovereignty of the whole Kashmir, with a majority Muslim population, divided between the two countries. The insurgents carry out a 1989 rebellion to obtain the independence of this region or a union with Pakistan.
New Delhi has long accused Islamabad of secretly supporting the infiltration of the insurgents and the armed rebellion in Kashmir, which Pakistan has always denied, saying that he only supports the struggle for self -determination.
