Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Pieskov announced on Monday that the position of excluding Ukraine membership in NATO raises Moscow's satisfaction. According to Pieskow, the Kremlin hears such a position “at various levels” from the United States.

In the words of Pieskowa Kremlin “he heard from Washington at various levels that Ukraine's membership in NATO is excluded”, and it is a position that “causes the satisfaction of” Moscow.
In this context, the Reuters agency reports that on Sunday a special US envoy for Ukraine General Keith Kellogg said that Ukraine's accession to NATO is not taken into account.
Last Thursday, the United States presented Russia and Ukraine with their latest truce proposal, suggesting that if it is not accepted, the US can withdraw from their efforts to end the war.
According to Bloomberg's agency, the US proposal consists in freezing the conflict along the current lines of the front, the exclusion of Ukraine's membership in NATO and the sanction of sanctions on Russia. On Saturday, the agency also announced that Washington is considering the official recognition of the annexation of Crimea by Russia. (PAP)
