US-Ukraine agreement on minerals. Zełenski: Signing a letter of intent can be possible on Thursday

A letter of intent regarding the conclusion of an agreement on the use of the US use of Ukrainian minerals may be signed online on Thursday – said the President of Ukraine Wołodymyr Zelnski.

“A few days ago, the American side suggested that we should return to one more step, while lawyers are working on the contract – (to) the letter of intent (which will show that – PAP) we have positive, constructive intentions (…) Therefore, a letter of intent, not the agreement itself, it can be signed online today,” said Zelanski at briefing.

The President of Ukraine also commented on the statement of the US President Donald Trump, who decided that Russia's Sunday attack on the sums – in which over 30 people were killed and more than 100 were injured – was “Russia's mistake”.

“This special operation of the Russians, consisting of attacking on sums, cannot be called a mistake. This is a murder and this attack was directed here in the center (sum); (…) We cannot find an excuse when he hits in the city center with missiles,” emphasized Zelanski.

The head of the Ukrainian state announced that Russia did not reduce the number of attacks on its country and there are as many as before the so -called energy suspension of weapons.

“Russia did not reduce the number of attacks and that was its strategy. This means that they reduced it to hide, to show that they hit the Ukrainian energy sector less, but they use the same number of drones every day (…) and the same number of missiles, including ballistic missiles,” he explained.

At the same time, he denied Russia's claims about Ukraine's beats in Russian energy. “We saw a document that the Russians sent to the United States, (…) that we hit their energy sector, which is not true, although they (Russians) paint something, invent. In this sense they are creative,” he emphasized.

Zelanski also said that, according to intelligence information, Russia receives armament from China. “Finally, we received information that China is providing the Russian Federation. Today we have general information from the Security Service (Ukraine), from interviews, talking about gunpowder, artillery. I think that we will transfer more details next week. We think that China representatives are producing some weapons in Russia,” said the Ukrainian president.
