“It's an impossible mission!” Elena Lasconi refuses to choose between George Simion and Nicușor Dan, if the two would reach round 2
Elena Lasconi has launched a new wave of criticism to Nicușor Dan, the independent candidate supported by the USR. Lasconi was asked what he would do if George Simion and Nicușor Dan were in the second round of the presidential elections. Her answer was simple, stating that “It's an impossible mission.”

“I struggle not to reach such a final”, Lasconi added, on Thursday evening, April 17, during an Antena 3 CNN show. The candidate avoided saying if he would cancel his vote or refrain, however, stating that she “Don't make these”but that he will answer clearly if such a situation would happen.
The criticisms of Nicușor Dan did not stop here. Lasconi again attacked what he called “The myth of the independent”, claiming that Nicușor Dan is a man who “lies frequently with lightness” and who has “Controversial people, even pro-Russian, around him.”
She insisted that the President of Romania must have professionals, not figures from the past or dubious people. “Isn't it really matter who you go to Cotroceni?”, Lasconi asked rhetorically.
“Look who is around me! I never said I go and take I do not know who in Cotroceni, I will take a very good specialist on each piece. That I said countless times. Do you think I will give up if someone will come and I will make pressure on me? That, ” completed the candidate.
In the same context, the USR leader explained why he decided to stay in the electoral race, despite withdrawing the official support from the party.
“If Nicușor Dan were withdrawn, I can receive votes from there. If I withdraw, Nicușor Dan takes nothing from me,” she pointed out. Lasconi believes that a vote for Nicușor Dan in the first round is actually equivalent to the support of Crin Antonescu or George Simion for the second round.
