Valeria Herdea, revoked from the head of CNAS. Who is the new president

Valeria Herdea was revoked from the position of member of the Board of Directors and president, with the rank of Secretary of State, of the National House of Health Insurance. In his place, Horațiu-Remus Moldovan will come.

The revocation was made by a decision signed by Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu and published Monday in the Official Gazette of Romania. Herdea became president of CNAS on January 17, 2024.
“At the date of entry into force of this decision, Mrs. Valeria Herdea is revoked from the position of member of the Board of Directors and chairman, with the rank of Secretary of State, of the National Health Insurance House.”, It is shown in the decision signed by the head of the Executive.
Instead of Valeria Herdea was appointed, also by a decision signed by the head of the Executive, Horațiu-Remus Moldovan as a member of the Board of Directors and chairman, with the rank of Secretary of State, of CNAS, writes Agerpres.
“Starting with the date of entry into force of this decision, Mr. Horațiu-Remus Moldovan is appointed as a member of the Board of Directors and president, with the rank of State Secretary, of the National Health Insurance House”the document states.
On Monday, also by a decision of the prime minister, published in the Official Gazette, Hoțiu-Remus Moldovan was released as Secretary of State at the Ministry of Health, a position he has been occupying since 2023.
