The president of the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC), Cristian Popescu Piedone, attacks the mayor of the capital, Nicuşor Dan, after he had stated that his action shows “a little excess”. Popescu Piedone's response came through a Facebook post, which contains a wave of insults to the mayor of the capital.
ANPC president Cristian Popescu Piedone said that his post is “a reply to the accusations of Nicuşor Dan, brought ANPC”.

What caused Piedone's reaction
A week ago, the mayor of the Capital, Nicuşor Dan, said that the checks that the ANPC president shows “a little excess”.

Of course it is good for this to be remedied in the private sector, but you cannot go to frighten an entire restaurant sector, you cannot drive the people who are at the table. To threaten them, to perform with their business, “said the mayor of the capital.
He added that if the law applies to the letter, then half of the means of transport in the Capital will be removed from the route.

Piedone's furious attack comes one day after a similar exchange of replies that took place between former President Traian Basescu and Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.

The online dispute started after Traian Basescu stated on Facebook that “USL government with Ciolacu Premier brought Romania in a multiple crisis”, referring to debts, postponed reforms and the inability to organize the correct elections. “The only thing Mr. Ciolacu can do for the country is to resign,” Basescu said.
Later, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu reacted harshly, also in a message posted on Facebook.
