A great aviation engine service plant is starting near Wrocław

The plant in Środa Śląska deals with maintenance, repair and renovation of air engines. It can be supported by engines used in the Airbus A320neo family in Boeing 737 Max aircraft. It is already known that the plant will operate machines belonging to the LOT line. But it is possible that in the future there will be aircraft of other key carriers.
The XEOS plant is just open to 35,000 sq m, which is made up of an engine pre-inspection hall, the main assembly and indoor hall and an advanced cleaning and inspection line. There is also a training center and a test chamber.
According to Robert Burton, managing director of XEOS, for now the Lower Silesian plant employs 250 people, but wants to continue to recruit. It is possible that he will accept about 50 employees in the future. In an interview with Business Insider Polska, Burton stated that automation can help in development – such systems can, for example, transport engines between different parts of the plant.

The plant is looking for volunteers
For now, however, the process of servicing air engines is constantly based on people's work – and this will not change soon. What do you need to do to find a job at XEOS? Many service positions are taken without experience in the industry – and without completed specialized schools. The company trains people on the spot. Necessary, as we hear on the spot, “is manual talent” and appropriate motivation.
According to Robert Burton, this year the plant wants to serve 36 air engines. In the future, however, more of them are to be serviced – the boss of XEOS says that he will ultimately want to serve “One engine every business day”.

The construction of the plant cost $ 250 million, and this year's investment in the facility will amount to an additional $ 40 million.
