On Wednesday, the prosecutor filed an indictment against the former deputy minister of justice, currently PiS MP Michał Woś, regarding the transfer of PLN 25 million from the Justice Fund for the purchase of Pegasus. The indictment was announced by the PG spokeswoman, Prosecutor Anna Adamiak.

The former deputy head of the Ministry of Justice, Michał Woś, was accused of exceeding his powers and failing to fulfill his duties, consisting in transferring PLN 25 million from the Justice Fund for the purchase of Pegasus software for the CBA, in August 2024.
On Wednesday, the spokeswoman for the Prosecutor General, Prosecutor Anna Adamiak, announced that an indictment against Woś had been filed with the District Court in Warsaw.
At the end of September this year, the prosecutor presented Wosio with a decision to change the charges. The change consisted in supplementing the description of the act and in partially modifying the legal qualification.
The National Prosecutor's Office then reported that Woś had exceeded his powers by concluding on September 29, 2017, an agreement with the head of the CBA to transfer funds from the SF to this institution in the amount of PLN 25 million for the purchase of “special equipment” – despite the knowledge that the CBA did not meet the conditions for obtaining such financial support.
Moreover, the abuse of powers by Woś also included, according to the prosecutor's office, issuing an order to pay PLN 25 million by FS to the CBA in the implementation of this contract.
In Wednesday's prosecutor, Adamiak added that the indictment was drawn up on 248 pages, and the prosecutor requested that the court disclose 522 pieces of evidence collected in the case at the hearing and hear 33 witnesses. The offense charged against Wos is punishable by 1 to 10 years of imprisonment. (PAP)
