Karol Nawrocki demanded reparation from Germany. Radosław Sikorski commented on

Traditionally, just before 4.45, i.e. the moment of the first German attack on the military transit syntax on September 1, 1939, alarm sirens were included. The participants sang the hymn, and the white and red flag was pulled into the mast. A memorial appeal was also held, a room candle was lit and a cannon salvo was given in honor of Westerplatte's defenders.

In his speech, President Karol Nawrocki emphasized that the roots of World War II were in German ideologies developing in the 19th century – philosophical and political trends that were to lead to the birth of Nazism. He noted that already in German thought there were theories of contempt for Poles and other nations, which in the 20th century found a tragic final.
