Bear shot in Brașov. Record number of alerts last night regarding the presence of wild animals in the city below Tâmpa

The authorities in Braşov announced, on Friday morning, that they shot a bear in the area of Jepilor Street in the Răcădău neighborhood. During the night, the municipality received 25 alerts signaling the presence of wild animals in the city.
“During yesterday evening, 28.05, the intervention team extracted by shooting a bear from the area of Jepilor Street. In the first phase, they tried to chase it away by acoustic and visual means, but it not only did not react, but continued to eat even in the presence of people”, announced the Braşov City Hall on Friday, according to News.ro.
The institution specifies that the animal had also been reported in the previous days in the same area and, in the absence of a reaction to the presence of man, the decision was made to extract it by shooting.
The decision was implemented when the safety conditions for this were met.
“Unfortunately, this morning, another bear was reported in the same area, bears being territorial animals,” Brasov City Hall officials also stated.
They announce that, during the night of yesterday, 25 alerts were received, this being the largest number of notices of the presence of the bear in a single night.
