In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, five large unauthorized landfills on forest lands will be eliminated by October 1. This was reported by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry of the region.
The work will be carried out in the vicinity of Divnogorsk, as well as in the Sosnovoborsky, Boguchansky, Kuraginsky and Mansko-Uyarsky districts. More than 30 million rubles will be allocated for cleaning the territories. Work will begin after the snow melts. Special equipment will be sent to the dump sites, and the waste will be transported to specialized landfills. Specialists from the regional Ministry of Natural Resources will monitor the progress of the cleanup.
After eliminating the landfills, foresters will plant young trees in the cleared areas. Camera traps will also be installed in the areas. Additionally, the areas will be monitored using drones and ground patrols.
Over the past four years, 228 unauthorized landfills on the lands of the state forest fund have already been eliminated in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. More than 100 thousand pine seedlings were planted in the restored areas. The ministry recalled that for illegal disposal of waste a fine of 40 to 50 thousand rubles is provided. In addition, violators are required to remove the garbage themselves and take it out of the forest.
