State traffic inspectors are investigating the circumstances of an accident involving children on scooters in the Sovetsky district of Krasnoyarsk.

It all happened last weekend. The group was riding in the schoolyard: several boys were on regular scooters, and one, an 8-year-old, was driving an electric scooter. At some point, he ran into a 9-year-old friend. As a result, both fell, and then they were joined by a schoolboy riding behind them.
The incident was caught on video.
“A 9-year-old boy, riding a regular scooter, received serious injuries and was hospitalized, the traffic police said. – EhThe electric scooter the other child was riding is personal property and was given as a gift several years ago. Upon the incident, police officers initiated administrative proceedings under several articles of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation: Art. 12.7 part 1 – driving a vehicle without a driver’s license; Art. 12.7 part 3 – transfer of control of a vehicle to a person who does not have the right to drive; Art. 12.6 – driving an electric scooter without a helmet. In addition, the information was transferred to the PDN to evaluate the actions of parents“
The department reminded that an electric scooter is not a toy, but a vehicle that, if used incorrectly, can become a source of serious danger and even tragedy.
