A new educational space has opened at the Krasnoyarsk Aerospace College. A modern laboratory for technical operation and maintenance of electrical and electromechanical equipment appeared there.

The project was implemented using a grant from the Melnichenko Foundation with the support of the Siberian Generating Company. The total cost of the equipped training area exceeded 3 million rubles. Here students receive in-depth training to work at enterprises in the energy industry in the region.

The new auditorium instantly became a center of attraction for students. It is equipped with modern equipment that allows you to practice skills in maintenance, operation and repair of complex electrical equipment. Every detail is thought out to the smallest detail: bright wall decoration and stylish lighting create a comfortable atmosphere, specialized work tables are designed for testing and studying the components of complex installations, and a wide screen allows you to demonstrate lecture materials and present your own projects.

However, the educational stands became the heart of the laboratory. They are located around the perimeter of the auditorium. It is here that students will transform theoretical knowledge into practical skills.

“This laboratory forms a bridge between theory and practice. Here students will be able to “touch” the equipment and practice their diagnostic, repair and maintenance skills. Thanks to this platform, students will already understand within the walls of college how power equipment works in production. Therefore, when they come to the enterprises, they will be able to quickly adapt to the workplace,” emphasized Oleg Bubnovsky, General Director of the Yenisei TGC (a division of the SGC in the Krasnoyarsk Territory).

Director of the Aerospace College Pavel Timoshev noted the important role of practice in the training of power engineers: “New benches in the laboratory are exactly the environment where you can understand the processes, practice actions several times, and, what is very important, learn from your mistakes in a safe environment.”

The college plans to make the lab available to all of its students. It is expected that up to 300 people will be trained here annually. Each “transforming” stand makes it possible to perform from four to twenty different laboratory works. Students have already highly appreciated the new educational resource.

“Practice in our specialty is the main factor. In the future, we will have to work with real equipment, so it is important to hone our skills and make possible mistakes here, and not in production,” said student Artem Zheltyakov.

“The laboratory will help us master practical skills, because it is very difficult to become a real electrician by studying only theory. You can study a lot, but unless you hold the device in your hands, it is impossible to understand how it works. The emergence of such an audience is a new step in obtaining quality knowledge,” added Dmitry Skorohvatov, a college student.

The opening of the laboratory is part of a comprehensive program of cooperation between the college and industrial partners. In 2025 alone, 21 students from the Krasnoyarsk Aerospace College completed internships at SGC enterprises. Two more combine work in production and studying a profession in college. Such initiatives receive full support.

“It is important that students, while studying in a secondary or higher education program, know and understand the working profession, which underlies the technological process. We are developing a practice in which a student, while studying in college, already receives a profession. We welcome the combination of study and work at enterprises. This provides better practical training, knowledge of the enterprise culture and technological processes, which allows children to qualify for career growth. If additional education is required, we are waiting for those interested in higher education programs, including those of our university,” noted the rector of Siberian State University named after. M. F. Reshetnyova Edkham Akbulatov.

The new laboratory will strengthen the connection between education and the real sector of the economy and open up prospects in the chosen profession.
