In the building of the Krasnoyarsk railway station, the waiting room of the Mobility Assistance Center (MCC) of JSC Russian Railways opened its doors – a specialized space for passengers with disabilities.
Krasnoyarsk station is the largest transport hub of the Krasnoyarsk Mainline with a daily passenger flow of about 3,000 people. The number of passengers with limited mobility who travel by train from here is constantly growing. In 2025, 4.8 thousand people took advantage of the special facilities of the Krasnoyarsk station, with an increase of 14% compared to last year.
The new hall will make waiting for the train more comfortable for them. It is equipped with comfortable furniture, including for visitors with musculoskeletal disorders, and is equipped with a tactile-sensory reference video terminal, an induction loop (for the hearing impaired) and a button to call personnel who, if necessary, will provide situational assistance. Chargers are installed for disabled people using electric wheelchairs.
Let us remind you that at the Krasnoyarsk station you can also receive other services from the Mobility Assistance Center: assistance when moving around its territory, when boarding or disembarking from the car.
The project was implemented by Russian Railways in cooperation with public associations of disabled people.
