“Today at 11.30 the heart of Igor Lakhin stopped beating… Director of the People's Artist of Ukraine Aurika Rotaru. May he rest in heaven and eternal memory… Sincere condolences to Aurika Rotaru and the whole family,” is written in the obituary.
The post was accompanied by a black and white photo of the deceased. In the photo he is holding a rosary with a cross.

He was six days short of his 44th birthday. The cause of death was not given.
Context
Aurika Rotaru was born on October 22, 1958 in the village of Marshintsy, Chernivtsi region. She graduated from the Chernivtsi Music College named after Vorobkevich and the Odessa Pedagogical Institute named after Ushinsky. In 2019, she was awarded the title of People's Artist of Ukraine.
In 1987, the singer married Ukrainian banker Vladimir Pigach. In the same year, a daughter, Anastasia, was born into the family. In 2005, Rotaru's husband died of a stroke.
