Part of the Yenisei riverbed was returned to federal ownership

The prosecutor's office achieved the return to federal ownership of a plot of more than 29 thousand square meters, which turned out to be part of the Yenisei riverbed.

According to the supervisory authority, in 2019 the Selsnab company registered a land plot near Berezovka for cadastral registration. According to the documents, the land was classified as agricultural land, but an inspection showed that in fact it was a part of the Yenisei.

Law enforcement officers established that the disputed territory belongs to the lands of the water fund. Such areas are federal property and cannot belong to private individuals or organizations.

To eliminate the violations, the prosecutor's office went to court. The court supported the department's demands, recognized the company's ownership of the site as absent and decided to return the water fund lands to the state.
