In the Urals they talked about the effectiveness of a robotic traumatologist in joint replacement

In the Ural Federal District, the first results of the operation of a robotic system for knee replacement were summed up. As Sever-Press reports, unique equipment appeared in Salekhard.

The chief physician of the district clinical hospital said that during the year, traumatologists performed 40 operations using the robot. In 2026, this number is planned to be increased to 108. The system allows the surgeon to prepare the joint surface for the titanium components of the endoprosthesis with a cutting accuracy of up to 0.5 millimeters. Thanks to this, patients recover faster and avoid disability.
In total, this year the hospital intends to perform 160 endoprosthetics for arthrosis of the knee joint, 108 of them with the help of a robot. According to the head physician, such equipment puts the district hospital on a par with leading clinics in Russia and the world.
