Antonio Rudiger posted a message on the Instagram social network just a few hours after the incident. He apologized to the referee, but also to the rest of the people he disturbed.
“There is no excuse for my behavior last night. I am very sorry for what I did. I played very well in the second half. After 111 minutes I could not help my team and made a mistake after the last whistle.
I apologize again towards the referee and the ones I disturbed last night, ”wrote Antonio Rudiger on Instagram.
