Cristian Tudor Popescu revealed that he was also among the pensioners who received a letter signed by George Simion, the Gold leader and the party candidate in the presidential elections, and said that the text “agrees”.

“How I got the sake of G. Simion,” is the title with which the newspaper begins.

“I received in the mailbox a letter with the header of the Romanian Post, signed by the chief of Gold, G. Simion, and addressed to the undersigned. The text, which starts with” Dear Popescu Cristian “, is psychically aggressing, trying to convince me that much milk and a lot of honey will run in my mouth, as I am, Pensioners, ”said Cristian Tudor Popescu, on Friday, in a Facebook post.

He claims that the authorities should not have allowed George Simion to have access to the personal data of the recipients.

“The question is: how did the authorities of this private person have allowed to have access to my personal data-the address and the status of pensioner-and use them for electoral purposes with the Romanian Post competition? How did G. Simion's authorities have access to the data of millions of pensioners and to use the electoral through the Romanian Post? 2 Back »,” CTP said.

The Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) announced on Friday that it has received “numerous complaints” on the letters the gold leader sent to the pensioners. The institution said that the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP) will notify.

The AEP, who stated that in the notifications received were reported violations of the GDPR Regulation, told them that they received as described that “they benefit from the right of access to personal data, according to the provisions of art. 15 of the Data Protection Regulation, as well as the right to delete personal data, according to the provisions of art. 17 of the same regulation”.
