The 18-year-old players, who are set to bolster Rapid’s squad, arrived at the venue to watch the game and meet their future teammates amidst a vibrant atmosphere created by fans.
Ouedraogo, a left-back previously with Genoa, was signed to replace Andrei Borza, who moved to Turkey. Doumbia, a midfielder, joins the team as they seek to strengthen their midfield options. Both players hail from Burkina Faso and made their way to Rapid from Genoa, owned by Dan Șucu.
The duo has not yet been officially introduced, but their attendance at the stadium indicates that their transfers will be formalized soon. They were seen enjoying the moment, smiling, and taking pictures as they settled into the stands.
Ouedraogo, valued at €1 million, has a contract with Genoa until June 2029. The young talent has previously played for Casarano Youth and Virtus Francavilla Calcio in Serie D, where he appeared in 18 matches. He made his Serie A debut for Genoa in the last away match against Fiorentina, following a prior appearance against Lecce.
On the other hand, Doumbia, valued at €400,000 and standing at 1.93 meters tall, has spent his career in Italy thus far. He was transferred to Genoa at the beginning of the year from Team Altamura for €500,000. To ensure he continued to develop without interruption, Genoa allowed him to remain with his Serie C team until the end of the season.
